Construction and properties

The NHXH FE180 cable features a robust construction ensuring long-term and safe operation. Conductors made of soft copper strands (Class 1 or 2) are insulated with halogen-free compound, enhancing safety during fire events. The layered stranded conductors are surrounded by a halogen-free filling material, and the entire assembly is enclosed in an outer sheath made of HFFR (halogen-free flame-retardant) material, resistant to UV radiation. This construction provides resistance to mechanical damage and environmental factors.

A key feature is the E90 functionality – meaning the cable maintains electrical circuit continuity for at least 90 minutes under fire conditions, enabling the operation of critical safety systems (e.g., emergency lighting, fire pumps). Additionally, the cable includes a protective conductor to enhance operational safety.
