Construction and application

Cables from the TECHNOFLAME NHXH-J FE180 series are designed for use in building installations and facilities with enhanced fire safety requirements. They perform optimally in locations such as metro tunnels, hospitals, shopping centers, cinemas, theaters, and stadiums. They ensure electrical system functionality for 90 minutes (PH90/E90), which is vital for the operation of life-saving equipment during evacuation — including fire pump systems, smoke extraction fans, emergency lighting, and fireman elevators.

The cable holds a conformity certificate and approval from the Scientific and Research Center for Fire Protection – PIB in Józefów. It can be used in areas protected by fixed water-based fire suppression systems. Importantly, the cable does not propagate flame, emits very little smoke, and releases non-toxic and non-corrosive gases — characteristics that guarantee human safety and minimize material damage.

Construction features and parameters

The cable consists of multi-strand copper conductors (10 cores, 1.5 mm² each), insulated with halogen-free compound. The conductors are layered and twisted around a central core, with the entire cable enclosed in a halogen-free filling layer and an outer sheath made of HFFR (Highly Flame Retardant Free of Halogen) material meeting PN-HD 604 S1 HM4 properties. The orange color facilitates easy identification during installation and maintenance. The sheath is UV-resistant, enabling use both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, the cable can be installed in water or soil, provided appropriate moisture protection is applied.
