Layered stranded conductors are enclosed in a halogen-free filling compound, and the entire assembly is protected by a spiral wrap of galvanized steel wires forming an armored sheath. A robust outer sheath made of cross-linked halogen-free flame-retardant (HFFR) material in orange color provides additional mechanical and chemical protection.
