Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability of connections

This red HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90 cable with a cross-section of 2.3 mm² and two cores, manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., is designed for demanding installations where maintaining continuous operation in the event of a fire is crucial. It is an advanced solution for alarm, signaling, teletransmission systems, and DSO, as well as for data transmission in facilities with increased fire safety requirements.

This cable is distinguished by its high fire resistance and low emission of toxic gases during combustion. It meets stringent safety standards, confirmed by a Certificate of Conformity and an Approval Certificate from the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – PIB in Józefów. This ensures not only protection of the installation but, above all, the safety of users and minimizes material losses.

Construction and application

The HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90 cable is characterized by a careful construction ensuring long-term and reliable operation. Made of soft copper wires, it has insulation made of halogen-free plastic, which further increases safety in the event of a fire – it limits the emission of toxic substances and smoke. Twisted pair cores are shielded with a common static screen made of laminated metal foil with an earthing conductor, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and ensures a stable signal transmission. The outer jacket is made of halogen-free HFFR plastic (EN 50290-2-27 and VDE 0250-214 – HM2), providing additional protection against external factors.

The cable is intended for permanent internal installations in buildings, including in rooms protected by water sprinkler systems (sprinkler zones). It will be perfect in fire alarm and fire automation systems, where reliable operation is a matter of life and death. Thanks to its water resistance (according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E), it can also be used in humid conditions.
