Construction and application

The cable has been designed for installations in facilities with stringent fire protection requirements, such as public buildings, hospitals, data centers or underground tunnels. Its construction guarantees not only effective protection against fire, but also minimizes the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire – which is crucial for human safety. Thanks to its resistance to water (according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E), it can also be used in rooms with water extinguishing systems. It is used for the transmission of analog and digital signals and for the power supply to devices requiring continuous power during a fire (e.g. emergency lighting).

The cable consists of eight conductors with a cross-section of 1.4 mm², twisted in pairs and surrounded by a common static screen protecting against electromagnetic interference. The conductor insulation is made of halogen-free material, which further increases safety. The cable jacket is also halogen-free (HFFR), meeting the standards EN 50290-2-27 and VDE 0250-214 – HM2. This construction ensures the maintenance of the cable's function during a fire – i.e. continuous data transmission and power supply to critical devices.
