Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – safety and reliability in critical situations
This red HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90 telecommunication cable, with a conductor cross-section of 0.8 mm² and 10 conductors, is designed for installations requiring the highest level of fire safety. It is an ideal solution for alarm, signaling, teletransmission systems, and sound warning systems (DSO), as well as for data transmission in industrial and automation installations. The cable meets stringent standards and has certificates confirming its properties.
Fire protection – key features and applications
Cables from the TECHNOFLAME HTKSHekw series are distinguished by a halogen-free construction, which means that in the event of a fire, they do not emit toxic gases or smoke – this is crucial for protecting human health and life, as well as expensive equipment. They ensure the continued function of the cable even during a fire, enabling continuous data transmission and powering emergency devices, such as emergency lighting. Additionally, the cable is water-resistant (according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E) and can be used in sprinkler zones.
The cable construction includes:
- solid copper conductors for a reliable connection,
- insulation made of halogen-free material ensuring safety in the event of a fire,
- twisted pair conductors minimizing interference,
- a common static screen protecting against electromagnetic interference thanks to a laminated metal foil with grounding.
This ensures stable transmission of analog and digital signals even in difficult environmental conditions. It has a certificate of approval from the Scientific Research Center for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów.
Parameters and compliance with standards – a guarantee of quality and safety
The cable has been tested for fire resistance (PN-EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2, PN-EN 60332-3-24, IEC 60332-3-24) and its ability to maintain function during a fire (E30-E90). It meets the requirements of DIN 4102-12 and PN-EN 50200+Annex E / PN-EN 50362. It is made in accordance with WT-TK-43 and has CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2021/0296-3701 issue.1. The operating voltage of the cable is 240 V with a test voltage of 1500 V AC. The minimum insulation resistance is 500 MΩ·km and the inductance is approximately 0.7 mH/km.
