Fire-resistant cable for safety and telecommunications systems
This red telecommunications cable HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90, manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., is a reliable solution for installations requiring high fire resistance and continuous operation in critical situations. Designed for alarm systems, signaling systems, teletransmission systems, sound warning systems (DSO), and data transmission in facilities with increased fire protection requirements. The cable is designed for installations in buildings where the safety of people and the protection of property are a priority.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring its unique properties. It is made of 14 copper conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², insulated with halogen-free material, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. The conductors are twisted in pairs, and then in a core, which is additionally protected by a common static screen protecting against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable halogen-free (HFFR) coating, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage.
It is worth noting that the cable has a Certificate of Conformity and a Certificate of Approval from the Scientific Research Center for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów, which confirms its compliance with the highest safety standards. It also meets the standards PN-EN 50200 Annex E and PN-EN 50362, which guarantees its proper operation in various installation conditions. It is also resistant to water according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E and can be used in sprinkler zones.
Applications and benefits
The HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90 cable is primarily used in:
- Fire alarm systems – providing reliable connections for sensors and alarm devices.
- Emergency lighting systems – enabling power backup in the event of a power failure.
- Smoke extraction systems – ensuring the continuity of devices controlling fire ventilation.
- Telecommunications and data transmission installations – guaranteeing stable communication even in extreme conditions.
- Industrial automation installations – where high resistance to interference and environmental conditions is required.
Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable minimizes the risk of toxic gases forming during a fire, increasing the safety of people in the building. Its high fire resistance (FE180 classification) ensures that the cable's function is maintained for a certain time (E30-E90), enabling evacuation of people and rescue operations. The common static screen effectively protects against electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
