Fire-resistant telecommunication cable – reliability in safety systems
This telecommunication cable, designated as YnTKSY 1x2x1.0 in blue, is designed for critical applications in fire alarm and fire automation systems. Its construction and materials ensure reliable signal transmission in situations where every second counts. The 1 mm² wire gauge and two cores make this cable suitable for many installations.
Application and construction – the key to safety
Cables from the TECHNOFLAME series, to which this model belongs, are intended for use in fire alarm and fire automation systems. They are used to transmit data via analog and digital signals in industrial electronics installations. Their use as transmission and power supply lines for linear devices (sensors, linear modules) in supervised lines of fire alarm systems is particularly important. This cable is also used in autonomous fire extinguishing and smoke extraction control systems, as well as in installations activated in the event of a fire – disconnecting ventilation, bringing elevators down, or shutting off the power supply to the facility.
The cable construction includes:
- single-wire copper conductors with a diameter of 1.0 mm²,
- conductor insulation made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC) – colors according to PN-92/T-90321 standard,
- twisted pairs of conductors arranged in a core,
- a core wrapped with a polyester tape.
It is worth emphasizing the presence of a static screen protecting against electromagnetic interference. The cable is intended for permanent internal installations.
Certificates and standards – a guarantee of quality
The cable has a National Technical Assessment and a Certificate of Approval issued by the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów. This confirms its compliance with the requirements for use in fire protection installations. It meets PN-EN 60332-1-2, PN-EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3-24 (cat. C) standards regarding cable flammability – does not propagate flames. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
