Fire-resistant cable for alarm systems

The red YnTKSY 10x2x0.5 cable is a solution designed for permanent indoor installation where reliable signal transmission is required in fire alarm and fire automation systems. It is used to connect detectors, modules, and fire alarm control panels—ensuring device operation upon fire detection, e.g., ventilation shutdown, elevator recall, or power supply cut-off.

The cable sheath is made of special tire-grade polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with an oxygen index greater than 29%, in red color—complying with standards for fire protection installations and facilitating their identification during installation and maintenance. The cable meets the requirements of standards PN-EN 60332-1-2 and PN-EN 60332-3-24 (Category C), confirming its resistance to flame propagation.

The cable contains 20 conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm²—each solid, made of soft copper wires. The conductors are insulated with PVC and twisted in pairs; the pairs are arranged in a core wrapped with a polyester tape. A static screen made of laminated metal foil protects signals from interference induced by external electric fields—without an additional grounding conductor, consistent with the YnTKSY construction (not YnTKSYekw).

The external diameter of the cable is approximately 7 mm—according to manufacturer data. The minimum bending radius is 10 times this diameter—i.e., approximately 70 mm—enabling installation in confined spaces without damaging the cable structure.

The product holds a National Technical Assessment and Certificate of Approval issued by the Scientific Research Center for Fire Protection (PIB) in Józefów—confirming its approval for use in fire protection installations.
