Intended Use and Application

The YnTKSY 1x2x1.6 red cable is a specialized solution for fire alarm systems and fire protection automation. It is designed for transmitting control signals and powering line devices—such as fire detectors, input/output modules, or smoke extraction units—upon fire detection. It operates under conditions where other installations may already be damaged: its construction ensures functionality even at the "0" moment, i.e., when the fire alarm control panel must activate the alarm, shut down ventilation, stop elevators, or disconnect the building's power supply.

Construction and Fire Resistance

The cable features a red sheath made of special PVC with an oxygen index greater than 29%, indicating low flammability and no flame propagation. It complies with standards PN-EN 60332-1-2 and PN-EN 60332-3-24 (Category C), and its reaction to fire is classified as Eca according to PN-EN 13501-6. Copper conductors (1.6 mm²) are insulated with polyvinyl chloride, twisted into pairs, and covered by a common static shield made of metal foil—eliminating electromagnetic interference from other installations. Additionally, a tinned grounding conductor ensures stable grounding in systems requiring protection against interference.

Compliance and Installation Conditions

The cable holds a National Technical Assessment and Approval Certificate issued by the Scientific Research Center for Fire Protection PIB in Józefów (No. CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2021/0251-3701). It is intended exclusively for permanent indoor installation within buildings—it is not suitable for outdoor mounting or in humid environments without additional protection. The minimum bending radius is 10 times the cable diameter, requiring caution when bending around junction boxes or ducts. Its construction guarantees reliable operation even during a fire, when other cables cease to function.
