Fire‑resistant telecommunications cable YnTKSYekw 1x2x1.0 green 0382 009 26
Cable intended for critical fire‑protection systems
It is a specialist cable designed to operate in conditions where other conductors have already failed — during a fire. It is created to transmit signals between fire detectors and the alarm control panel, as well as to control auxiliary devices: disconnecting ventilation, stopping elevators, shutting down building power. It operates at the “0” moment — when the fire is just starting.
Construction that works under pressure
The conductors are single‑strand, made of soft copper wires with a cross‑section of 1 mm² — providing stability and resistance to deformation during installation. Each conductor’s insulation is made of insulating polwinit (PVC), colors according to PN-92/T-90321. Pairs of conductors are twisted and placed in a single core, reducing interference between them.
A static shield of laminated metal foil plus a tinned grounding conductor protect the transmission from electromagnetic interference — important when operating near motors, transformers or other industrial equipment. The outer sheath is made of a special tire‑grade polwinit (PVC) with an oxygen index above 29 %, in red — guaranteeing its non‑flammability and resistance to flame spread. Complies with EN 60332-1-2.
The cable has a National Technical Assessment and a Certificate of Approval from the Scientific‑Research Center for Fire Protection – PIB in Józefów — meaning it is approved for use in fire‑protection installations in accordance with current regulations.
Where it is used and how it works?
It is permanently installed inside buildings — in corridors, stairwells, technical rooms. It is not intended for outdoor use or for moving installations. It operates at temperatures from -30 °C to +70 °C — thus it withstands both freezing in stairwells and heating in heated rooms.
Its primary purpose is not to transmit large amounts of data — but to ensure that the “fire detected” signal reaches the control panel without interference, even as temperature rises and other cables melt. The common static shield protects the transmission path from interference induced by external electric fields — important when working alongside other electrical installations.
Weight about 49 kg/km and diameter about 6.3 mm make it easy to route through pipes and ducts — without overloading the structure.
