Fire‑resistant telecommunications cable YnTKSYekw 1x2x1.4 red 0382 025 23
Cable for fire‑alarm systems that works when others fail
This is a red cable YnTKSYekw with two conductors of 1.4 mm² cross‑section, designed for conditions where every conductor must remain functional — not as a backup, but as the primary path for alarm signals. It is used in supervisory lines of fire‑alarm systems, where the signal from a detector must reach the control panel without interference, even during a fire.
Construction complying with fire‑protection requirements
The conductors are single‑strand, made of soft copper wires and insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). They are twisted in pairs, covered with polyester tape and a static shield made of laminated metal foil — together with a galvanized grounding conductor. This prevents interference from other installations that could falsify trigger signals.
The outer sheath is made of a special tire rubber (Polwinit) with an oxygen index greater than 29 % — it does not propagate flame and maintains integrity at high temperatures. The red colour is intentional: it is the standard identification for cables intended for safety systems.
For the installer: clear requirements, no compromises
The cable is intended for permanent installation inside buildings. It is not suitable for external installations or temporary connections. It carries a National Technical Assessment and a Certificate of Approval from the Scientific Research Center for Fire Protection — PIB in Józefów, confirming its compliance with fire‑protection system standards.
The static shield protects the transmission from external electric fields — crucial for the accuracy of analog and digital signals transmitted to auxiliary devices: fire dampers, smoke‑extraction systems, ventilation disconnectors, or main switches.
This is not a domestic communication cable. It is a system component that must operate at the “0” moment of a fire — when other installations are already failing.
