Intended use and application
Cable YnTKSYekw is used for signal transmission in fire alarm and fire automation systems — where the operation of the installation must be guaranteed at the moment a fire is detected. It is used as a power and transmission line for detectors, linear modules, as well as for controlling auxiliary devices: disconnecting standby ventilation, calling passenger elevators, or shutting down the building’s power supply. It operates in conditions where other cables have already failed — its construction ensures continuity of operation even during a fire.
Construction and resistance
The cable has four single‑core conductors of soft copper with a cross‑section of 0.8 mm², insulated with PVC and twisted into two pairs. The cable core is wrapped with polyester tape, and the whole assembly is protected by a static shield made of laminated metal foil — together with a galvanized grounding conductor, which reduces electrostatic interference. The sheath is made of a special fire‑resistant PVC compound with an oxygen index above 29 %, which means it does not propagate flame and does not support combustion. The red colour is not accidental — it is the standard identification for fire‑protective cables in installations.
Compliance and operating conditions
The cable has a Certificate of Approval and a National Technical Evaluation from CNBOP-PIB — which means it is legally approved for use in fire safety installations. It is classified according to CPR (PN-EN 50575) as an indoor cable. It operates at voltages up to 150 V AC / 2250 V DC, and its insulation has a resistance above 200 MΩ·km. It can be permanently installed in buildings at temperatures from –40 °C to +70 °C; the minimum laying temperature is –5 °C. The minimum bending radius is 10× the cable diameter — facilitating installation even in confined spaces.
