Fire-resistant telecommunications cable YnTKSYekw 3x2x0.8 black 0382 003 05
Intended Use and Application
The YnTKSYekw 3x2x0.8 black cable is a specialized wire designed for installation in fire alarm and fire automation systems. It serves as a transmission path for analog and digital signals between detectors, linear modules, and the fire alarm control panel – precisely when every millisecond counts. It ensures the operation of auxiliary devices: disconnects ventilation, recalls elevators, cuts off power – all without delay, even as the fire spreads.
It is designed for permanent installation inside buildings, where reliability under extreme conditions is required. It is not a general-purpose cable – it operates where standard cables fail to perform.
Construction and Resistance
The cable features 6 conductors (3 pairs), each with a cross-section of 0.8 mm², made of soft copper – ensuring stable signal transmission even over long distances. The conductors are insulated with PVC, twisted into pairs, and placed within a polyester tape core. A key element – a static shield made of laminated metal foil + a tinned grounding conductor – blocks electrostatic interference from other installations, preventing false alarm signals.
The outer sheath is made of special PVC with an oxygen index above 29%, which means:
- flame propagation is limited to a single cable
- self-extinguishing material
- resistance to high temperatures during a fire
This is not merely a "fire-resistant cable" – it is a cable that will survive a fire and continue to transmit the alarm signal.
Compliance and Operating Conditions
The cable holds a Certificate of Approval and National Technical Assessment from CNBOP-PIB – the only document legally permitting its use in fire safety installations. It is also classified according to PN-EN 50575 (CPR).
It operates at voltages up to 1500 V AC / 2250 V DC, and its insulation has a resistance exceeding 200 MΩ×km – ensuring minimal losses and no signal leakage. It can be installed at temperatures no lower than -5°C, but its true performance is demonstrated during a fire – where other materials melt or lose functionality.
There is no room for compromise here. This is a cable for systems that cannot fail.
