Halogen-free power cable – safety and installation reliability

This halogen-free power cable N2XH-J 0.6/1 kV with a single conductor of 50 mm² cross-section is designed for demanding industrial installations as well as residential construction. It ensures safe electrical power transmission while minimizing fire risks through the use of halogen-free materials. The cable is ideal for applications where the protection of people and property is paramount.

Construction and applications

N2XH-J cables are engineered for use in power control, protection, and switching equipment, as well as for electrical power transmission. They perform reliably in dry and humid indoor environments, outdoors, and in concrete. Direct burial in soil or underwater (with additional protection) extends their range of applications. They are especially recommended for facilities with enhanced fire safety requirements, where limiting the emission of toxic gases and slowing fire spread is critical.

The cable construction includes:

• Conductors made of soft copper strands (available in various classes: RE, RM, SM), ensuring flexibility and ease of installation.
• Insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), providing high resistance to mechanical and electrical damage. Conductor insulation colors comply with PN-HD 308 standard or are black with white numbering. In N2XH-J cables, the green-yellow protective conductor is located in the outer layer for added safety.
• Halogen-free filler preventing flame propagation.
• Outer sheath made of halogen-free flame-retardant material (HFFR) in black color (other colors available on request).
