Fire-resistant halogen-free power cable – safety and reliability in fire protection systems

This halogen-free power cable NHXCH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV is designed for installations where the safety of people and equipment is a priority, especially in buildings with increased fire protection requirements. Made of halogen-free materials, it minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire, which is crucial for protecting health and life.

This cable is used in facilities such as subway tunnels, hospitals, shopping centers, cinemas or stadiums – everywhere where it is required to maintain power to critical systems during evacuation and firefighting operations (e.g. fire pumps, ventilation, emergency lighting). It ensures the maintenance of electrical functions for 90 minutes, as confirmed by certificates and approvals from the Scientific and Research Center for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of soft copper wires with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², twisted together. The cores are insulated with a cross-linked halogen-free plastic, and their color identification is carried out in accordance with PN-HD 308 or with white numbers on a black background. Additionally, the cable has a filling layer made of a halogen-free material and an outer HFFR coating (in orange color) with HM4 properties according to PN-HD 604 S1.

• Fire resistance: Ensures the maintenance of electrical functions for 90 minutes (PH90/E90).
• UV resistance: Allows the cable to be used outdoors.
• Water resistance: Can be used in rooms protected by fixed extinguishing systems (sprinkler zones) and, with additional protection – in water and soil.
• Flexibility: Soft copper wires make installation and cable routing easier.
