Halogen-free power cable – safety and reliability in critical installations

This orange power cable NHXCH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV with a cross-section of 4x6/6 RE, manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., is designed for installations requiring the highest level of fire safety. It is a key element in public buildings, where the protection of life and property is a priority.

This cable is used in places such as subway tunnels, hospitals, shopping centers, cinemas, theaters, stadiums and other facilities with increased fire safety requirements. It provides uninterrupted power to critical equipment – fire pumps, ventilation, emergency lighting – for at least 90 minutes in the event of a fire, which is essential for effective evacuation and rescue operations. It has certificates of conformity and approvals from the Fire Protection Research Institute - PIB in Józefów.

Construction and properties

The cable is distinguished by a construction that provides high resistance to extreme conditions. The conductors made of soft copper wires (class 1 or 2) are insulated with a halogen-free material, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases during a fire. In addition, the cable does not spread flames and generates very little smoke. The cable sheath is made of HFFR halogen-free material (according to PN-HD 604 S1), which provides resistance to UV radiation and allows it to be used both indoors and outdoors. The possibility of laying in water and soil (with additional protection) increases its versatility.

The cable is water resistant according to PN-EN 50200 Annex E and can be used in sprinkler zones. This makes it suitable even in humid environments.
