Halogen-free power cable – safety and reliability

This N2XCH 0.6/1 kV power cable with three 10 mm² conductors is a robust solution for transmitting electrical energy in demanding conditions. Manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., this cable combines high performance with enhanced safety thanks to the use of halogen-free materials. This is particularly important in installations where protecting people and property in the event of a fire is a priority.

Construction and application

N2XCH cables are designed for permanent installation indoors and outdoors, in both dry and humid environments. They are suitable for control, protection and control devices, as well as production lines and air conditioning systems. The possibility of laying in concrete and optional protection allowing operation under water or in the ground expands their range of applications. A key feature is also the possibility of using them in facilities with increased fire safety requirements.

The cable construction includes:

• Conductors made of soft copper wires (classes 1, 2 and sector conductors available), providing flexibility and ease of installation.
• XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation, guaranteeing high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. The insulation colors of the conductors comply with PN-HD 308 or are marked with white numbers on a black background for easy identification.
• Filling with a halogen-free material, minimizing the emission of toxic gases during a fire.
• Outer sheath made of a halogen-free (HFFR) material in black – also available in other colors on request.
