Low smoke halogen-free power cable N2XCH – reliability and safety
The N2XCH 0.6/1 kV power cable with a cross-section of 4x120/70 mm² is a solution designed for reliable distribution of electrical energy in demanding conditions. The cable's construction, based on high-quality materials and advanced technologies, guarantees safety and long-term operation. It is particularly recommended for installation in places with increased fire safety requirements.
Construction and application
N2XCH cables are characterized by conductors made of soft copper strands, insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The strands are twisted in layers around a core, and the whole is surrounded by a filling layer made of a halogen-free material. Additionally, the cable has a coaxial shielding strand and an outer sheath made of a halogen-free (HFFR) material in black color.
These cables are widely used in:
- Industrial equipment and production lines.
- Installations in industrial and commercial buildings.
- Air conditioning and ventilation equipment.
- Permanent laying in dry and humid rooms as well as outdoors.
- Direct laying in concrete (with appropriate protection).
- Installations requiring a high level of fire safety.
Safety and properties
The use of halogen-free materials in the construction of the N2XCH cable significantly increases the level of safety. In the event of a fire, this cable does not spread flames, emits minimal smoke and non-corrosive gases, protecting both people and expensive electronic equipment. This means that the cable meets strict fire safety standards. In addition, the flexible construction with soft copper strands makes installation and cable routing easier even in difficult conditions. The conductor cross-section of 120 mm² ensures efficient power transmission under high loads.
