This YnKGSLY 0.6/1 kV cable with 4 cores (1.0+1.0, including protective conductor) is a robust solution for applications in mining. Engineered for use in control, measurement, signaling, automation, and local communication circuits, it meets the rigorous demands of mining environments. Ideal for both surface and underground installations, it ensures safe and interference-free operation of critical systems.

Construction and Practical Application

The cable features a flexible design with stranded copper conductors, facilitating easy installation and providing high resistance to mechanical damage. Insulation is made from insulating PVC, ensuring reliable electrical protection. Conductors are layered twisted around the cable core and enclosed in a polyester tape for added stability. The outer sheath is made from special rubber-grade PVC, guaranteeing high resistance to abrasion and environmental factors.

This cable is suitable for use in:

• Mining facilities (both surface and underground), excluding explosive zones.
• Non-methane and methane areas in underground mining (areas classified as “a” explosion hazard).
• Workings classified as Class A for coal dust explosion hazard.
• Intrinsically safe circuits in explosive zones.
• Intrinsically safe circuits in areas with varying levels of explosion hazard (“a”, “b”, “c”).

Design Features and Compliance with Standards

The YnKGSLY cable holds a positive technical opinion No. 05/53 and certificate No. 05/53/A1/2 issued by the TI EMAG Institute, confirming compliance with safety and quality requirements applicable in mining. It is manufactured in accordance with standard PN-EN 60228 for copper conductors. Special variants are also available:

• YnKGSLX: Cables with polyethylene insulation (X) – characterized by low capacitance, ideal for long-distance signal transmission.
• XnKGSLX: Halogen-free cables – enhanced fire safety due to reduced emission of smoke and corrosive gases during combustion.
