This cable is designed for operation in demanding mining conditions, providing reliable communication and control in control, measurement, signaling and local connectivity circuits. The cable's construction is designed with safety and durability in mind, meeting the stringent standards applicable in mining.

The YnKGSLY 0.6/1 kV cable with 5 cores (4 working cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and 1 protective core with a cross-section of 1.5 mm²) is a solid solution for installers and end-users looking for a reliable connection in underground and open-pit mining plants. The use of high-quality materials guarantees long-term operation even in the most demanding conditions.

Cable Application and Construction

YnKGSLY cables are approved for use in both methane and non-methane fields, as well as in workings threatened by coal dust explosion. This makes them a versatile solution for a variety of installation needs in mining. However, they cannot be used in power supply installations.

The cable construction includes:

• Cores: flexible, stranded copper (tinned on request), class 5 according to PN-EN 60228 – provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Insulation: polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation in various colors for easy core identification (green-yellow for the protective core, black, blue and brown for the remaining cores).
• Cable Core: twisted layer cores surrounded by a polyester tape – provides stability and protection against moisture.
• Sheath: special self-extinguishing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with increased fire resistance, black RAL 9005 or blue RAL 5015 (for intrinsically safe circuits) – increases safety of use.

The cable has a positive technical opinion No. 05/53 and certificate No. 05/53/A1/2 issued by the TI EMAG Institute, confirming its compliance with safety and quality requirements.
