YnKGSLY cables are a reliable solution for operation in demanding mining conditions. Designed for control, measurement, signaling, automation, and local communication circuits, they are suitable for use in both open-pit and underground mines. Application and Construction

These cables are approved for use in methane and non-methane areas, as well as in workings at risk of coal dust explosion. They comply with stringent safety standards and hold a positive technical opinion from the TI EMAG Institute (No. 05/53) and Certificate No. 05/53/A1/2.

The cable design has been carefully engineered for the specific requirements of mining environments:

• Conductors: Flexible, multi-strand conductors made from soft copper wires (zinc-coated upon request), Class 5 according to PN-EN 60228 – ensuring flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Insulation: Made from insulating PVC in various colors to facilitate conductor identification. Insulation colors correspond to the number of cores in the cable.
• Cable Core: Layers of twisted conductors surrounded by a polyester tape – stabilizes the cable structure.
• Sheath: Made from special fire-retardant rubber-grade PVC with enhanced flame resistance, available in black RAL 9005 or blue RAL 5015 (for intrinsically safe circuits).

Conductor insulation colors vary depending on the number of cores: for 3 cores – green/yellow and black with blue; for 4 cores – green/yellow, black, blue, and brown; for 5 cores – green/yellow, black, blue, brown, and black; for more than 5 cores – green/yellow and black with printed conductor numbers.

Technical Characteristics and Advantages

YnKGSLY cables exhibit high resistance to abrasion, moisture, and chemical substances commonly found in mining environments. The nominal conductor cross-section is 1.5 mm², with 7 cores – enabling their use in diverse installations. This makes them ideal for transmitting control and measurement signals under challenging conditions.

• XnKGSLX: Halogen-free – enhanced fire safety due to low smoke emission and absence of corrosive gases during combustion.
