YnKGSLY cables are constructed with flexible, multi-strand copper conductors (zinc-coated upon request), providing high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The conductor insulation is made of insulating PVC, and the color-coded conductors facilitate easy identification. These cables can be used in explosive zones, including both methane and non-methane atmospheres, as well as in intrinsically safe circuits. Importantly, this cable is not intended for power supply installations.

The cable construction includes:

• Layered twisted insulated conductors,
• A polyester tape wrapping around the cable core for additional protection,
• A robust, self-extinguishing, flame-retardant PVC outer sheath – available in black RAL 9005 or blue RAL 5015 (for use in intrinsically safe circuits).
