Mining signal cable – reliability in harsh conditions

YnKGSLY 500V 2x1.0+1.0 cable is a specialized cable designed to operate in the demanding conditions of mining. It is designed for use in control, measurement, signaling, control and local communication circuits. Its construction and materials guarantee safe and reliable operation even in potentially explosive environments.

Construction and application

YnKGSLY cables are approved for use in both surface and underground mining plants. They can be used in non-methane and methane fields (in rooms with a defined degree of explosion hazard), as well as in workings threatened by coal dust explosion. Additionally, these cables are used in intrinsically safe circuits. It is important to remember that they cannot be used in power supply installations. They have a positive technical opinion from the TI EMAG Institute (No. 05/53) and a certificate (No. 05/53/A1/2), which confirms their compliance with safety requirements.

This cable is characterized by flexibility thanks to the multi-wire copper conductors. The insulation of the conductors is made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the colors of the insulation facilitate the identification of the conductors: green-yellow for the protective conductor and black and blue for the remaining conductors. The conductors are twisted in layers around the cable core, which is additionally secured with a polyester tape. The outer coating is made of high-quality, flame-retardant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) available in black RAL 9005 or blue RAL 5015 (for use in intrinsically safe circuits).
