YnKGSLY 500V 2x1.0 blue cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in the demanding conditions of mining. It is designed for control, measurement, signaling, control and local communication circuits, ensuring safe and stable operation in critical applications. Its construction and materials guarantee resistance to mechanical damage and external factors characteristic of the mining environment.

Construction and application – safety first

These cables are used in both surface and underground mining plants. They can be used in non-methane and methane areas (in rooms with a specific degree of explosion hazard), as well as in workings threatened by coal dust explosions. Additionally, they are approved for use in intrinsically safe circuits, which increases the level of safety in potentially hazardous areas. It is important to remember that these cables are not intended for power installations. They have a positive technical opinion from the TI EMAG Institute (No. 05/53) and a certificate (No. 05/53/A1/2), confirming their compliance with the strict safety standards in force in mining.

Construction features and benefits for the installer

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with multi-wire copper cores, which facilitates installation and routing of cables even in tight spaces. The cores are twisted in layers around the center of the cable, which ensures their mechanical stability. The core insulation made of insulating polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides good protection against electrical and mechanical damage. The cable core is additionally secured with a polyester tape. The outer coating made of special rubberized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) self-extinguishing with increased fire resistance provides additional safety of use. A version with a halogen-free coating (XnKGSLX) is also available, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire – particularly important in enclosed mine spaces. This makes the cable meet high requirements regarding fire protection. The core cross-section of 1 mm² with two cores allows for efficient signal transmission without excessive voltage drop.
