Construction and application

YnKGSLY cables are intended for use in mining plants, both surface and underground. They can be used in methane and non-methane fields, as well as in workings exposed to coal dust explosions. This cable is used in intrinsically safe circuits, which further increases the level of safety. It is not intended for power installations. It has a positive technical opinion from the TI EMAG Institute (No. 05/53) and Certificate No. 05/53/A1/2, which confirms its compliance with industry requirements.

The cable construction includes:

• Conductors: flexible, stranded, twisted from copper wires (tinned on request), class 5 according to PN-EN 60228 – this ensures flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Insulation: made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation in colors specified by the number of conductors – facilitates identification of conductors during installation and maintenance.
• Cable core: wrapped with a polyester tape – additional protection against damage.
• Sheath: made of special, self-extinguishing PVC compound with increased fire resistance, black (RAL 9005) or blue (RAL 5015) for intrinsically safe circuits – increases safety of use.
