Halogen-free power cable – safety and reliability

This N2XH-J 0.6/1 kV power cable, with a conductor cross-section of 70 mm², is designed for electrical power transmission under demanding conditions. It performs reliably in industrial installations, production lines, and HVAC systems. Its construction and materials ensure safety and long-term operation.

Application and cable construction

This cable is ideal for fixed installations in dry and humid indoor environments, as well as outdoors. Its ability to be embedded in concrete and additional protection allows use even in water or direct burial in soil. Particularly important is its use in facilities with enhanced fire safety requirements — thanks to halogen-free materials, it limits flame spread, minimizes smoke emission, and does not release corrosive gases during fire.

The cable construction includes:

• Conductors made of soft copper strands (available in various classes – RE, RM, SM),
• Insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) — ensuring high resistance to voltage and temperature,
• Protective conductor in green-yellow color (in N2XH-J cable) positioned in the outer layer for enhanced safety,
• Filling layer made of halogen-free material — prevents flame propagation,
• Outer sheath made of halogen-free, flame-retardant (HFFR) material in black color — resistant to abrasion and atmospheric agents.
