Construction and application

N2XH-J cables are designed for use in circuits with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV. Their wide range of applications includes both fixed indoor installations (in dry and humid areas) and outdoor installations, including embedding in concrete. Additional protection allows their use even in water or directly in the ground. Their application is particularly critical in facilities with enhanced fire safety requirements — thanks to halogen-free materials, the cable does not propagate flame during a fire, emits minimal smoke, and releases non-corrosive gases, thereby enhancing the safety of people and property.

The cable construction consists of:

• Conductors: made of soft copper strands, ensuring flexibility and ease of installation. Available in various conductor classes (RE, RM, SM) depending on application requirements.
• Insulation: cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), providing high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. Insulation colors comply with standard PN-HD 308 or are black with white numbering for easy identification. In the N2XH-J cable, the green-yellow protective conductor is positioned externally for added safety.
• Filler and sheath: halogen-free filler and an outer sheath made of HFFR (halogen-free) material, standardly available in black, but other colors available upon request.
