NTC tank sensor (12kΩ) WKC 5140 00 00 91
Water heater temperature sensor – key to efficient water heating
This NTC sensor is designed to measure the temperature of domestic hot water in a tank. Its function is to precisely monitor the temperature and transmit information to the boiler controller, which enables efficient and economical water heating. Changes in the sensor's resistance, dependent on temperature, are read by the controller, which turns the boiler on or off to maintain the set temperature.
How it works and where is it used?
The NTC sensor reacts to temperature changes by changing its electrical resistance. A decrease in temperature causes an increase in resistance, and an increase in temperature – a decrease. This change is read by the boiler controller, which regulates the device's operation based on it. This ensures that the system maintains a constant water temperature in the tank, eliminating the risk of overheating or underheating. This is particularly important in installations with a hot water tank, where precise temperature control translates into user comfort and energy savings.
This model of sensor is typically standardly mounted in Termet single-function boilers with a power of up to 35 kW, but can also be used as a replacement part in other installations requiring precise water temperature measurement in the tank. The sensor cable length is 4 meters, providing flexibility during installation and adaptation to different installation configurations.
