Cooling and Heating Control – CrCooler Module
The CrCooler control module is an analog-to-digital signal converter designed for integration with AirPack4, AirPack Home, and AirPack series heat recovery systems. It converts the output signal from a central controller into a digital signal, enabling advanced control of the performance of duct-mounted coolers or heaters.
Thanks to this module, the heat recovery system can efficiently interface with external devices such as refrigeration units or circulation pumps. This allows for precise adjustment of room temperature and optimization of energy consumption. The CrCooler module is a key component in advanced ventilation and air conditioning systems requiring sophisticated control of heat exchange processes.
Applications and Functionality
The CrCooler module offers versatile applications in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. It enables:
- Refrigeration Unit Control: Conversion of the analog signal controlling the cooling valve actuator into a digital signal that triggers the external unit. This solution is ideal for systems with fixed-capacity duct-mounted coolers.
- Circulation Pump Control: Activation of the circulation pump delivering medium to the duct heat exchanger, enabling efficient space heating.
- ON/OFF Actuator Control: Opening or closing the flow of medium to the duct heat exchanger, allowing precise temperature regulation.
- System Flexibility: Ability to control both duct-mounted coolers and water-based heaters, providing full control over the heat exchange process.
Technical Specifications and Installation
The CrCooler module is designed for easy installation and reliable operation. It operates on a 24 VDC supply voltage with a maximum current draw of 10.1 mA. The relay contacts have a maximum switching capacity of 5 A at a maximum switching voltage of 250 VAC or 24 VDC. The device functions within a temperature range of 0°C to +45°C (optimal: +5°C to +45°C) and relative humidity without condensation. Relay activation occurs when the analog signal exceeds 2 V, and deactivation occurs below 1.3 V. The package includes a connecting cable with a plug for simplified connection to AirPack and AirPack Home automation systems.
