Ventilation Duct System – Lightweight and Efficiency
The RuraPack2 kit is a set of two AirTube 200 pipes, forming an element of a modular ventilation duct system. The AirTube system is designed for modern installations in residential and commercial buildings and works perfectly with Thessla Green AirPack recuperators. This solution combines the function of a ventilation duct with high-quality thermal insulation, eliminating the need for additional insulation.
Construction and materials
The pipes are made of EPS (expanded polystyrene) with increased density and graphite additive, which provides excellent insulation properties – the thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.031 W/(m·K). EPS is a lightweight, rigid and moisture-resistant material, which prevents the development of mold and fungi inside the installation. Grooves on the outer surface of the pipes facilitate mounting and stabilization. Each pipe has an inner diameter of 200 mm, an outer diameter of 250 mm and a wall thickness of 25 mm. The length of a single section is 1350 mm.
Installation and application
The AirTube system is characterized by extremely simple and quick installation. The elements are connected using dedicated sleeves (available separately), without the need for additional tools or materials. The pipes can be easily cut to the desired length using a knife or thermal knife. The low weight of the elements facilitates transport, installation and reduces the load on the building structure. Therefore, the system works well both in new installations and during the modernization of existing ones. AirTube pipes are also characterized by low air flow resistance – even twice as low as in the case of flexible ducts – which translates into quieter system operation and lower operating costs. It is also possible to connect to traditional metal fittings, securing the connection with a clamp.
