The Uponor Nubos mounting mat is a practical solution for installing underfloor heating and cooling systems. Designed for use with 14 and 16 mm diameter pipes, it provides a stable and secure base for distributing heating pipes. The mat is made of polystyrene and has protrusions that allow it to be attached to existing insulation. Additionally, the mat is covered with a film, which facilitates its laying and protects against mechanical damage.

Features and application

The Nubos mat is particularly recommended for installing underfloor heating systems in combination with cement and anhydrite-based screeds. Thanks to its construction, it allows maintaining the optimal pipe spacing (available options: 5.5, 11, 16.5, 22, 27.5, 33 cm), which translates into an even distribution of heat in the room. Its main advantage is the lack of insulation – which allows adapting the insulation thickness to individual project needs. The mat is designed for use with radiant floor heating and cooling and is compatible with 14-16 mm diameter pipes. Made of polystyrene with a protective film, it has a plate with protrusions to facilitate mounting. Allows adjusting the pipe spacing to project needs in the range of 5.5 cm to 33 cm.

Safety and compliance with standards

The Uponor Nubos mat meets fire safety requirements – the fire resistance classification is E (according to EN 13501-1 standard), and the material flammability is B2 (according to DIN 4102 standard). The quality of the polystyrene is confirmed by compliance with EN 13163 standard. This guarantees the solidity and reliability of the underfloor heating system.
