Reducing tee PPSU 16-20-16 Uponor Q&E 1008710
Construction and material
The reducing tee is made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) - a thermoplastic material with high mechanical and thermal resistance. This material does not corrode, is resistant to the action of chemicals typical for water installations, and does not release substances into drinking water.
The Q&E (Quick & Efficient) connection involves sliding the pipe onto the fitting and clamping the steel ring with a special tool. This solution eliminates the need for welding or threading - the connection is created in a few seconds and is sealed thanks to the pressure of the ring on the O-rings. Note: the Uponor Q&E ring must be ordered separately.
The 16-20-16 mm configuration means that the two side connections have a diameter of 16 mm, and the central (through) one - 20 mm. The branching angle is standard 90°, which allows for leading branches at a right angle to the main pipe.
Overall dimensions
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Overall length | 70 mm |
| Width | 30 mm |
| Height | 42 mm |
| Weight | approx. 12 g |
The dimensions are compact - the fitting fits in small installation spaces, e.g., in wall grooves or manifolds.
Operating parameters and application
Intended for Uponor PEX systems in installations:
- water - cold and hot domestic water,
- heating - underfloor heating, wall heating, radiator heating,
- mixed - the carrier can be water or a glycol solution.
The maximum working pressure at 20°C is 10 bar, which covers typical requirements for residential and commercial installations. The operating temperature range reaches from −40°C to +95°C, so the fitting is also suitable for industrial or refrigeration installations.
The manufacturer specifies a lifespan of 50 years and provides a 10-year warranty. With proper installation (in accordance with the Uponor instructions), the fitting does not require inspections or maintenance for decades.
Compliance and documentation
The fitting has an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), which means transparent data about the product's impact on the environment throughout its life cycle - from production to disposal.
An installation manual for the Q&E system (document KB1121763) is available, covering the entire range of sizes from 9,9 to 50 mm - it includes a description of pipe preparation, ring installation, and checking the tightness of the connection.
The product's EAN number is 6414907052057. The fitting is packaged individually in a plastic bag; for transport, it is delivered in a carton or on a pallet (up to 4480 pieces).
