Reducing tee PPSU 32-25-20 Uponor Q&E 1008704
Construction and Q&E connection technology
The reducing tee is made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) - a thermoplastic material with high mechanical and thermal resistance. The body is black, which is characteristic of the entire Uponor PPSU fitting line.
The product uses Q&E (Quick & Efficient) technology, in which the connection is made by inserting the pipe together with the expansion ring onto the fitting and tightening it using the clamping ring. All three outlets of the tee are designed for this type of connection:
- 32 mm - main installation inlet,
- 25 mm - second outlet,
- 20 mm - third outlet.
The construction allows smooth transitions between diameters without the need for additional reducers - one element replaces a set of several fittings.
Required accessories
To make a tight connection, an Uponor Q&E ring matched to the pipe diameter is essential. The rings are sold separately - they should be ordered in a quantity corresponding to the number of connections (in this case, three). For the 32 mm diameter, a natural white ring is available with catalog number 1044993.
Operating parameters and typical application
The tee operates at a maximum working pressure of 10 bar at 20°C. In standard water supply installation conditions, the continuous operating temperature is 70°C, and short-term spikes can reach 95°C - this is important in case of possible thermal surges in the system.
The product belongs to the Uponor PE-Xa system, which according to the PN-EN ISO 15875 standard is classified as:
- application class 1 - distribution of domestic hot water (60°C),
- application class 2 - distribution of domestic hot water (70°C).
Typical installation locations include central heating manifolds, water and sewage risers, and connections between manifolds and heat sources. The reduction from 32 mm to smaller diameters works well where the installation branches into circuits with lower flow rates - e.g., when connecting radiators or water extraction points.
Compliance, standards and operating conditions
The Uponor PE-Xa system has technical approvals confirmed by certification bodies, and the design life of the entire system is 50 years. PPSU retains its properties within the standard operating temperature range of installations (from -20°C to +70°C), and is also not sensitive to moisture or contact with concrete, plaster, or cement mortar.
What to avoid during work and storage:
- Contact with organic solvents - PPSU does not tolerate any substances of this type.
- Prolonged exposure to UV radiation.
- Using adhesive tapes or paints containing solvents or plasticizers directly on the surface of the fitting.
The product is factory-packed in a protective plastic bag with an included Uponor installation manual.
