Automatic air removal from solar collectors

Air separator 302418 is designed for continuous, maintenance‑free removal of air and other gases from collector circuits in solar systems. It operates without the need for manual venting — which reduces the risk of loss of system efficiency and extends the lifespan of pumps and other circuit components.

Included Rp 3/4 fittings allow easy installation in existing circuits without pipe modifications. The design is suitable for operation up to 10 bar, which meets the requirements of typical high‑pressure solar systems.

No maintenance required — the air collected inside is automatically discharged by a membrane valve that works on the density difference between liquid and gas. In practice this means: fewer failures, more stable flows, lower pump noise and longer intervals between services.

It works in circuits with water and corrosion‑inhibiting additives — there are no restrictions on the type of working fluid, provided it does not contain substances that dissolve elastomers.

It is worth noting: although the separator does not protect against overload or short‑circuit, its operation directly impacts the safety and durability of the entire system — removing gases that can cause cavitation, excessive pump wear and loss of thermal efficiency.
