Air source heat pump – efficient heating and cooling

The aroTHERM Plus VWL 105/6A air source heat pump is an advanced heating and cooling solution designed for both new and modernized buildings. The device combines high energy efficiency, user comfort and care for the natural environment. Thanks to the possibility of connecting to existing heating installations with traditional radiators, it is an ideal alternative to conventional heat sources.

Technology and performance

This monoblock heat pump with a power of 9.2 kW, powered by 400 V and operating in a three-phase system, offers a COP of 5.4 at temperatures of 7/35°C. This means that for every kilowatt-hour of electricity consumed, the device delivers 5.4 kilowatt-hours of heat. The heating power under the same conditions is 8.5 kW. Additionally, the pump has an active cooling function with a power of 7.8 to 10.8 kW (depending on the temperature). The use of a natural refrigerant R290 with a low global warming potential (GWP=3) makes it particularly environmentally friendly.

User comfort and control

The aroTHERM Plus heat pump offers a wide range of control options and integration with smart home systems. Thanks to remote control and data transmission via the internet, the user has full control over the device from anywhere. The ability to control multiple heating circuits allows for precise temperature adjustment in individual rooms. Room temperature control provides additional comfort and optimizes energy consumption. The built-in VR 32/B communication module enables cascading connection of several heat pumps to increase heating power – although this feature is not used in this model. The device is compatible with the VWZ AI module, which further optimizes the operation of the heating system.

Construction and application

The compact design of the device (dimensions: 1100 x 1565 x 450 mm) makes it easy to install even in limited spaces. The aroTHERM Plus heat pump can be used in both internal and external installations. It is ideal for heating single-family homes, multi-family buildings and commercial properties. Thanks to the high supply temperature (up to 75°C), it can be used in traditional heating systems with radiators or underfloor heating. The device also allows for the preparation of domestic hot water – making it a versatile solution for year-round thermal comfort.
