The COMPACT HCFB 4 400/HA axial wall-mounted fan is designed for efficient air exchange in facilities with diverse purposes, ranging from large production halls and warehouses to smaller retail spaces or breeding rooms. Its construction allows installation in any position on a wall, significantly facilitating the work of installers adapting existing buildings. Thanks to its compact design, this model serves not only as a standalone element of general ventilation but also as a key component in air conditioning systems.

The device is particularly useful where reliable air circulation is required under challenging environmental conditions. It can operate in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, making it a suitable solution for unheated warehouses in winter or greenhouses in summer. It is worth noting that versions with larger diameters (800-1000 mm) have a slightly different temperature range (-20°C to +40°C); however, the 400 mm model maintains full thermal flexibility.

Construction and Material Durability

A key advantage of this model is the use of a rotor made from glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (HCFB series). This material not only ensures resistance to UV radiation – which is important for outdoor installation or in rooms with high sun exposure – but also significantly reduces the overall weight of the device compared to traditional aluminum solutions. The rotor is dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940 standard, resulting in quieter operation and reduced vibrations during long-term use.

The housing is made of steel sheet subjected to an extrusion process and advanced anti-corrosion protection. Cataphoretic painting combined with a polyester paint layer guarantees long service life even in humid environments such as pigsties or poultry houses. All fastening elements are made of stainless steel, eliminating the risk of corrosion at mounting points. The IP65 protection rating for the motor ensures sealing against dust and water jets, which is standard for most models in this series (except for larger diameters).

Motor and Control Capabilities

The drive consists of a single-phase asynchronous motor rated at 230 V with insulation class F, adapted for continuous operation. Thanks to the thermal protection of the winding (in the 4-pole model), the device features built-in protection against overheating resulting from mechanical or electrical overload. This is crucial for the safety of installations in industrial facilities, where fan failure could lead to more serious technological consequences.

It is worth emphasizing the control flexibility: the motor standardly allows voltage-based speed regulation, providing the possibility to adjust the air flow rate to current ventilation needs without the need to replace the entire device. However, it should be noted that speed controllers are not supplied with the fan and must be purchased separately by the installer or end user. All these features – from the UV-resistant plastic rotor to the cataphoretically painted steel housing – make the fan ready for operation across a wide temperature range (from -40°C to +70°C) and under challenging humidity conditions thanks to the IP65 protection rating. The compact construction enables mounting in any position on a wall, while built-in thermal protections increase the reliability of the ventilation system without the need for additional motor protection accessories.
