Purpose and application
The COMPACT HCFB 6 400/HA fan is intended for general ventilation of industrial and commercial spaces — it is ideal for warehouses, storage facilities, workshops, production halls, parking lots and retail premises. It can be installed as part of an air‑conditioning system or as a standalone air‑exchange solution in large areas where constant and reliable circulation is required.
Construction and durability
The impeller is made of glass‑fiber‑reinforced thermoplastic — resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions, providing long‑term stability even when exposed to sunlight or moisture. Dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940, which reduces vibration and noise during operation. The housing is made of stamped steel sheet, protected with a cathodic primer and polyester paint — offering corrosion resistance in aggressive environments. Fastening elements are stainless steel, further increasing installation durability.
Motor and operating parameters
Powered by single‑phase 230 V / 50 Hz, the asynchronous motor has insulation class F and protection rating IP65 — resistant to dust, moisture and particles. It features thermal winding protection against overload (except for two‑pole models and larger diameters), safeguarding it during prolonged operation. The rotational speed is 750 rpm, enabling a maximum air flow of 3400 m³/h at a sound level of 52 dB(A) — a low value for a device of this class. The unit weighs 9 kg, facilitating transport and installation.
Installation and flexibility
The design is optimized for wall mounting — it can be installed in any orientation (vertical or horizontal) without the need for frame or bracket modifications. Dimensions are compact: impeller diameter 400 mm, and the entire unit fits within a limited space opening — ideal for upgrading existing systems or new facilities with restricted installation space.
Operating conditions
It can operate in temperatures from ‑40 °C to +70 °C — no additional heating or cooling of the surroundings is required. There is no restriction for relative humidity up to 95%, making it suitable even in environments with high steam content (e.g., car washes, industrial kitchens). Note: models with a diameter of 800 mm and larger have a limited temperature range (‑20 °C to +40 °C), but this model (400 mm) is not subject to that limitation.
