Application and Operating Conditions

The HXM 200 axial fan is a device dedicated to general ventilation in rooms where the air is not heavily polluted. Thanks to its construction, it is suitable for garages, cellars, attics, as well as storage facilities and warehouses. A key feature of this model is the possibility of installation in any position – it does not matter whether it is mounted horizontally or vertically, which significantly facilitates adaptation to existing infrastructure. The device is resistant to ambient temperature fluctuations, operating stably within the range from -20°C to +40°C.

It is worth noting the direction of airflow, which in this model is defined as from the motor to the impeller. This means that the motor is located on the suction side, while the impeller is on the discharge side. Such an arrangement affects the installation method and accessibility of electrical components during servicing.

Construction and Safety

The housing is made of pressed galvanized steel sheet, ensuring resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. The surface is coated with epoxy paint (in white or beige, depending on the production batch), which facilitates cleanliness maintenance and ensures aesthetic installation. Safety of use is guaranteed by a steel protective grille mounted on the air inlet side, preventing foreign objects from entering the interior of the fan.

The electric motor is a single-phase unit powered by 230V (50/60Hz). It is equipped with thermal winding protection against overload, protecting the device from overheating during prolonged operation or in case of a ventilation system failure. The IP44 protection rating makes the fan resistant to water splashes from any direction and dust with a particle size larger than 1mm – an ideal solution for humid cellars or garages. Insulation class B (for models with diameters of 200-350 mm) ensures appropriate dielectric strength under standard thermal loads.

Operational Data and Installation

The HXM 200 model is characterized by low power consumption (approx. 19-36 W) while providing an airflow capacity of approximately 470-530 m³/h. The noise level generated by the device is around 39-42 dB(A), allowing its installation in places requiring quietness, e.g., in apartments or warehouse offices. The device weighs only 1.8 kg, which facilitates its transport and installation even on thin partition walls.

For electrical connection, this model is equipped with a short power cable of approximately 5 cm in length (or 50 cm depending on the delivery version), which usually requires the use of an additional junction box or a short extension by the installer. The fan can be voltage-regulated, allowing adjustment of the airflow capacity to current ventilation needs without the need to replace the device with a smaller model.
