Axial fan HXM 250 42023020
Application and Mounting Versatility
The HXM 250 axial fan is designed for efficient air exchange in rooms where aggressive contaminants or high dust loads are not present. Thanks to its construction allowing installation in any position, installers can mount it both horizontally and vertically, significantly facilitating adaptation to existing infrastructure in garages, cellars, attics, or warehouses. The device is suitable for general ventilation systems, ensuring a constant flow of fresh air in commercial premises and warehouses. It should be noted that the airflow direction is defined as motor-impeller, which must be taken into account when planning the ventilation system layout.
Construction and Resistance to Environmental Conditions
The device housing is made of pressed galvanized steel sheet, providing rigidity and corrosion resistance. The metal surface is coated with beige epoxy paint (according to Venture Industries data), protecting against moisture and typical conditions found in unheated rooms. Inside, there is an impeller made of aluminum sheet – this material is lighter than steel, resulting in reduced bearing load and quieter operation while maintaining performance. For user safety and protection against accidental contact with moving parts, a steel protective grille is mounted on the inlet side.
The device can operate in a wide ambient temperature range: from -20°C to +40°C. Therefore, it is suitable not only for heated warehouses but also for unheated garages or cellars where temperatures may drop below zero. The motor has insulation class B and protection rating IP44, meaning resistance to solid objects larger than 1 mm and water splashes from any angle – an ideal solution for locations with increased humidity.
Operating Parameters and Control Capabilities
The HXM 250 model is driven by a single-phase squirrel-cage motor with a voltage of 230V (50/60Hz). Its capacity is approximately 810 m³/h (depending on operating conditions), and the maximum static pressure reaches 48 Pa. With these parameters, the device consumes power of about 30 W, making it an energy-efficient component of the installation. The impeller rotational speed is approximately 1380 rpm, and the noise level generated during operation is about 48 dB(A).
For installers, the key feature is the ability to regulate rotational speed by changing the supply voltage. The motor is also equipped with thermal winding protection against overload, which automatically cuts off power in case of overheating, protecting the device from damage. For electrical connection, a standard cable with a length of 50 cm is provided, facilitating quick installation without the need for additional extension cords over short distances to the distribution board. The total weight is approximately 2.4 kg, allowing easy suspension even on lighter support structures. The fan connection diameter is 255 mm, facilitating integration with standard ventilation ducts of appropriate cross-section.
If needed, dedicated exhaust louvers or rotational speed controllers (e.g., models TLR or RVS) can be purchased separately to adapt the fan operation to specific building requirements or to reduce energy consumption during periods of lower ventilation demand.
