Axial fan HXM 350 42023040
Application and Operating Characteristics
This device is dedicated to general ventilation in rooms where the air does not contain large amounts of dust or aggressive chemical substances. Thanks to its construction, it performs well in garages, cellars, attics, as well as in storage and commercial facilities. The axial fan HXM 350 (catalog no. 42023040) has been designed to allow installation in any position – both on walls, ceilings, or floors, which significantly facilitates adaptation to existing infrastructure.
A key element is the impeller made of aluminum sheet, which, combined with a housing stamped from galvanized steel, ensures durability while maintaining a low overall device mass (approx. 4.3 kg). The housing is coated with beige/white epoxy paint, which not only protects against corrosion but also allows for aesthetic integration into various interiors. It is worth noting that the standard direction of airflow is from the motor side towards the impeller, which is typical for this type of wall-mounted solution.
Control Capabilities and Motor Operation
This model is driven by a single-phase motor with a voltage of 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. The motor has insulation class B and an IP44 protection rating (according to the Venture Industries catalog sheet for this series), meaning resistance to water splashes from any direction – important for installation in humid cellars or garages. The device achieves a rotational speed of approximately 1340 rpm, generating a maximum airflow capacity of 1680 m³/h (according to manufacturer data) or 1750 m³/h (depending on measurement conditions). The maximum static pressure is approx. 46 Pa, allowing effective air movement even with short duct sections or behind protective grilles.
For installers, important information regarding safety features is that the motor is equipped with thermal winding protection against overload, which automatically cuts off power in case of overheating. Moreover, the entire HXM model series (including size 350) is adapted for voltage-based rotational speed control. This means the possibility of controlling ventilation intensity using simple voltage regulators (e.g., TLR 15 DS type), without the need to use more expensive inverters or frequency controllers. The noise level generated by the device during operation is approximately 51 dB(A), making it sufficiently quiet for use in warehouses or utility rooms, although it may be audible in very quiet residential areas.
Operating Conditions and Installation
The fan can operate safely in ambient temperatures from -15°C to +40°C. This wide temperature range allows installation also in unheated warehouse halls or winter garages. For electrical connection, this model comes standard with a power cable of 50 cm length, facilitating quick installation without the need for additional wiring at the unit itself (unlike the larger HXM-400 model, which requires a terminal box).
In the case of the HXM-350 model, key operating values include: maximum capacity approx. 1680–1750 m³/h at a static pressure of approx. 46 Pa; power consumption approx. 40–52 W at a current of approx. 0.17–0.2 A; rotational speed oscillating around 1340 rpm; sound pressure level approx. 51 dB(A); net device mass approx. 4.3 kg; connection diameter approx. 361 mm; and operating temperature range extending from -15°C to +40°C with an IP44/IP40 protection rating (*depending on the data source).
Installation of the device requires only a standard wall opening of appropriate diameter and access to a single-phase electrical network due to the simplicity of construction and lack of complex control systems. The protective grille mounted on the inlet side increases operational safety, preventing large objects from entering the impeller during operation or servicing. Thanks to this, the fan constitutes a solid and reliable solution for facilities requiring constant air exchange without the need to invest in complex central systems.
