Multilayer pipe for water and heating
VPremium PERT/AL/PERT 16mm pipe is a versatile solution for building water and heating installations, combining the advantages of plastics and metal. It consists of five layers – an inner and outer layer of durable polyethylene (PE-RT), between which there is an aluminum reinforcing layer welded in overlap. Thanks to this construction, the pipe is lightweight, flexible, corrosion-resistant and high-pressure resistant, and also characterized by low thermal expansion. It is an ideal choice for both professional installers and end customers looking for a reliable and durable solution.
Construction and properties
VPremium pipe combines the features of plastic and metal materials, offering a number of benefits. The aluminum layer acts as an oxygen barrier, preventing the formation of deposits and extending the life of the installation. Polyethylene PE-RT provides high resistance to temperature (up to 95°C for a short time) and pressure (up to 10 bar). In addition, the pipe is easy to process – it can be bent by hand (bending radius min. 64 mm), and for smaller radii, the use of a spring is recommended. It is worth mentioning the low coefficient of thermal conductivity (0.41 W/(m.K)), which translates into lower energy losses in the heating system. The pipe wall thickness is 2 mm, which ensures its adequate mechanical strength.
