Application and compatibility

The BUP M10 slide nut is a universal component of the Walraven BIS RapidStrut® system, designed for all types of Strut channels. It enables precise mounting of accessories such as angles, brackets, or supports directly into the channel profile.

Thanks to its pre-assembled design with a washer and a green POM spring, it ensures multiple adjustments of the fastening point position. This solution eliminates the need for constant disassembly — the position can be easily corrected even after initial mounting.

Construction and materials

The nut body is made of tempered steel (steel 1.0332), which guarantees high mechanical strength. The spring made of polyoxymethylene (POM) ensures reliable pressure against the channel profile.

The product is part of the Walraven BIS UltraProtect® 1000 system, which provides:

• Corrosion protection — resistance of at least 1000 hours in a salt spray test (maximum 5% red rust) according to ISO 9227
• Versatility of application — suitable for both indoor and outdoor building installations

Load-bearing properties and safety

The M10 nut achieves a load capacity of 5000N perpendicular to the channel axis and 1250N parallel to the axis. The tightening torque is 15Nm, ensuring stable fastening without the risk of thread damage.

The component has been tested for fire safety in accordance with the EN 1366-1 standard, confirming its reliability in emergency conditions. The stated parameters were obtained during tests with BIS RapidStrut® channels measuring 41×41×2,5mm.

The load capacity values allow for the safe mounting of typical HVAC, electrical, or structural installation elements in Walraven channel systems.
