Freestanding Enclosure for Gas Meter and Regulator
A gas meter cabinet with dimensions of 600 × 600 × 250 mm, designed for outdoor installation – suitable for both single-family homes and larger industrial installations. The freestanding design with a back panel allows it to be placed directly on the ground without the need for mounting to the facade.
The product is made of polypropylene (PP) – a material resistant to weather conditions and UV radiation. The enclosure is self-extinguishing, meaning that it does not support combustion when exposed to fire – this is an important safety parameter in gas installations.
Design and Technical Solutions
The cabinet has a contoured shape – the door overlaps the body, ensuring that the enclosure is sealed and protected from rain and dust when closed. An additional connection between the body and the back panel strengthens the entire structure and prevents deformation during use.
The built-in socket for the gas meter rail eliminates the need for drilling mounting holes – simply slide the rail into the designated space. The adjustment range of 4 cm allows the rail to be moved along with the installed gas meter so that the dial remains visible and easily accessible for reading.
The enclosure is delivered in parts for self-assembly, which significantly reduces transport costs and simplifies logistics. The assembly time on-site is approximately 30 minutes shorter than for cabinets delivered fully assembled – the body and back panel are separate elements.
Versatility and Compatibility
The cabinet is suitable for all standard gas meters used in households: G1.6, G2.5, G4, and G6, as well as pressure regulators. It can be used with any element of a typical gas installation available on the market – WEBA gas meter rails, connection columns, or inlet pipes.
The brown color (RAL 8017) blends well with facades in earthy tones and wooden facade cladding – the cabinet is not conspicuous while remaining easily recognizable as part of the gas installation.
The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty – this is standard in the WEBA offer, a company specializing in solutions for gas distribution since 1981, based near Poznań.
