The ZQV 2.5N/2 BL cross connection enables the distribution or multiplication of potentials between adjacent terminals in a single motion - without additional wiring. Simply plug the element into the grooves on the terminal blocks to connect two poles together and pass the signal or voltage further.

The plug-in system allows for fast installation and removal even in tight control cabinets. Compared to screw-type solutions, it saves a lot of time during installation - especially when many terminals need to be crossed at once.

Construction and materials

The housing made of Wemid plastic ensures high thermal resistance - the element operates stably in the range of from -60°C to +130°C. The UL 94 V-0 flammability rating means the material self-extinguishes after the fire source is removed, which is significant in industrial applications.

Geometric dimensions are optimized for popular DIN rails:

• Total width is 7.9 mm, depth 24.7 mm, height 2.8 mm
• Mass of only ~1.12 g - does not load the terminal structure

The 5.10 mm contact pitch ensures compatibility with two main Weidmüller series:

• Series A (PUSH IN) - Klippon Connect screwless terminals,

Operating parameters and Ex safety

Despite its small size, the connector carries a rated current of up to 24 A at a nominal voltage of 400 V. However, it is worth noting an important limitation provided by the manufacturer - for stability and thermal reasons, a maximum of 60% of the contact elements can be broken off. If there is a need to cut the cross connection and use it as a separate piece with sharp cutting edges, the operating voltage drops to 25 V.

The element has an Ex-e certificate (confirmed), which means compliance with the requirements for protective circuits in explosion-prone areas. The permissible storage temperature is from -25°C to +55°C, and continuous operation from -5°C to +40°C.

It complies with the RoHS directive without exemptions and the requirements of the REACH regulation - it does not contain SVHC substances above 0.1% by weight.

Application and compatibility

ZQV 2.5N/2 BL is ideal anywhere where equipotential potentials need to be quickly connected without additional wires - e.g., when distributing signal ground between many PLC input modules or creating a common power bus for a group of functional terminals.

The blue color facilitates identification in more complex cross-connection layouts - especially when different colors are used for different potentials (e.g., blue = ground/common signal).
