Cross connector for potential distribution in switchgear

The WQV 2.5/3 cross busbar allows the electrical connection of three adjacent terminals in a single row - it is used to create common potentials (e.g., N, PE, or any phase) without the need to run separate wires between each terminal. It is mounted directly onto WDU series terminal blocks by screwing.

Construction and material

The housing is made of polyamide PA 66 - a material resistant to high operating temperatures (up to 130°C) and characterized by the UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. This material ensures the mechanical rigidity of the structure while maintaining a low mass - the entire bridge weighs only 2.26 g. The yellow design facilitates function identification in the finished installation.

Geometric dimensions are matched to standard Weidmuller W-series terminal blocks:

• Tightening torque of the mounting screw 0.4-0.8 Nm

Electrical parameters and safety

The rated current of 32 A allows for the transmission of large loads through all three poles simultaneously - thanks to the large contact surface, the connection maintains low contact resistance and minimizes thermal losses.

The bridge is fully insulated and equipped with finger-safe protection, meeting safety requirements in industrial installations and switchgear.
