Screwless DIN rail connection
The ZDU 4 BL feed-through rail terminal block is a single-level terminal block designed for mounting on a standard TH-35mm DIN-compliant rail. The spring-cage design eliminates the need for tightening tools - simply insert the wire into the opening, and the spring ensures a stable and permanent electrical contact.
The top entry system means that both wire insertion and clamping mechanism operation occur from a single direction. This significantly accelerates installation and reduces the space required for handling - which is particularly important in dimension-constrained distribution boards.
Electrical parameters and operating range
The terminal block supports solid and stranded wires in the range of 0,13-6 mm², and up to 4 mm² when using ferrule connectors. The nominal current is 32 A, and the rated voltage reaches 800 V. The operating temperature range from -50°C to +120°C allows for installation in both outdoor conditions and technical rooms exposed to temperature fluctuations.
The housing is made of thermoplastic with a UL94 V0 flammability rating - a self-extinguishing material, which limits the spread of fire in the event of a failure.
Certificates and safety
The product has a certified Ex-e explosion-proof design, enabling its use in explosion-hazardous zones. It holds international approvals: CSA, UL, SEV, KEMA/ATEX, NEMKO, Lloyd's Register, and SETI. The internal levels are not bridged - each terminal operates independently as a separate connection point.
An end cover (available separately) is required to close the terminal strip, ensuring proper circuit separation and compliance with safety standard requirements.
Dimensions and design
The housing width is only 6,1 mm with a height of 62 mm and a depth of 43 mm. The blue insulation color facilitates circuit identification in the distribution board - particularly useful when separating voltages or using functional markings.
The terminal block is dedicated to copper installations and is suitable for both industrial applications as well as photovoltaics and building automation.
