PUSH IN technology in a compact housing

The A4C 2.5 feed-through terminal block utilizes PUSH IN technology, which allows for fast and tool-free connection of solid and stranded wires - simply insert the wire into the terminal, and the spring mechanism automatically ensures a secure connection. Thanks to a constant contact force independent of the user, the connections are resistant to vibrations and shocks.

The housing made of Wemid thermoplastic is characterized by the UL94 V-0 flammability rating, which means high resistance to fire spread - an important parameter in electrical distribution boards and control cabinets.

Construction and contact materials

The contacts are made of hardened steel, which withstands the mechanical loads resulting from repeated insertion and removal of wires. Tin-plated copper, on the other hand, guarantees low contact resistance and stable electrical conductivity - the contact resistance is 1.33 mΩ according to the IEC 60947-7-x standard.

The block has a width of 5.1 mm, a height of 77.5 mm, and a depth of 36.5 mm. One level with four connection points allows for the connection of two input wires and two output wires - a typical configuration for feed-through distribution boards.

Electrical parameters and operating range

The rated operating voltage is 800 V AC/DC, and the rated current is 24 A. The operating temperature range from −60 °C to +130 °C makes the block suitable for both industrial cold storage and high-temperature environments.

Supported wire cross-sections:

• solid: 0.5-2.5 mm²
• stranded (with or without a ferrule) and multi-core: 0.5-4 mm²

The wire stripping length is 10 mm.

Certificates and standards

The block meets the requirements of the IEC 60947-7-1 standard and holds certificates for use in explosive atmospheres - ATEX (II 2 G D) and IECEx. The ATEX/IECEx version operates at a voltage up to 550 V and a current up to 21 A.

Mounting on the TH-35 mm (TS35) DIN rail is standard for most industrial distribution boards - simply slide the block onto the rail without additional mounting elements.
