The ZAP/TW ZDU1.5/2AN separation plate is a key component of the Weidmüller rail terminal block system, ensuring safe separation of electrical circuits and an aesthetic finish to the installation. Made of high-quality Wemid material in dark beige, it provides a reliable solution for electrical installation professionals.

Design and technical parameters

The plate, with dimensions of 51.5 mm height, 2 mm width, and 28.9 mm depth, weighs only 2.3 g, making it an extremely lightweight component that does not load the DIN rail structure. The Wemid base material is characterized by a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, meaning it is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing - minimizing the risk of fire spread in the event of an electrical failure.

The design allows for direct mounting on the TS35 DIN rail with a 50 mm offset, and the snap-on system enables fast and secure fastening without the use of tools. The plate can function as both an end plate and an intermediate partition between modules.

Temperature parameters and environmental resistance

The device maintains full functionality within an operating temperature range of -50°C to +120°C, allowing for use in extreme industrial conditions. The storage temperature is -25°C to +55°C, ensuring parameter stability during transport and storage.

The material exhibits resistance to typical environmental factors encountered in electrical installations, maintaining its insulating and mechanical properties throughout long-term operation.

Application in installation practice

The separation plate is used as an end element of the terminal module before the end stop, guaranteeing the correct operation of the modular terminal and a specified rated voltage. It provides protection against contact with live parts and makes the terminal finger-safe.

In practice, it is used for visually recognizable separation of electrical circuits to avoid wiring errors - which is particularly important in large-scale installations where different circuits must be unambiguously identified. These elements are standardly mounted before the end stops of Weidmüller rail terminal block systems.
