The PSM-520 pressure switch is a high-quality mechanical pressure switch designed specifically for demanding industrial applications in regulation, monitoring, and alarm signaling systems. The device offers a wide setting range from -0,4 to +7 bar with the possibility of precise switching hysteresis adjustment within the 0,6-6 bar range.

Construction and materials ensuring reliability

At the heart of the pressure switch is a durable bellows made of CuSn6 copper alloy according to the EN 1652 standard, working in conjunction with a spring mechanism with adjustable pre-load. The pressure element activates a control arm for the SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch contact when the set pressure threshold is exceeded.

The process connection, made of EN1A high-speed steel according to EN 10277-3 with a galvanized surface and a G1/4" external thread, ensures a durable and leak-proof connection to the installation. A maximum working pressure of 16 bar guarantees safe operation even in high-pressure systems.

Operating parameters and setting flexibility

The device is characterized by a switching point repeatability of ≤2% of the range and an allowable medium temperature from -20°C to +100°C. The ambient temperature can range from -25°C to +70°C, enabling installation in various environmental conditions.

A key feature is the possibility of on-site adjustment by the user. Using the protective cap and external scale, the switching point and hysteresis can be precisely set according to individual application needs. The reset point automatically adjusts to the set hysteresis.

Industrial applications and electrical compatibility

The PSM-520 pressure switch performs excellently in controlling pumps and compressors as well as monitoring industrial process parameters. The electrical contacts can switch AC-1 resistive loads up to 10A at 230V AC and AC-15 inductive loads up to 6A.

The IP33 protection rating (IP30 in some configurations) protects against dust and dripping water. The device is compatible with non-corrosive media such as oil, water, and air, which expands the range of possible applications across various industrial sectors.

The electrical connection is equipped with a rubber grommet compatible with cables of Ø6-14mm diameter, and standard wiring requires four cores with a cross-section of 1,5mm² for optimal electrical performance.
